'High School Musical' coming to life
at Chico Theater Company

Chico Theater Company is presenting "High School Musical," featuring an array of 40 lively local high school students.
In the play, which enjoyed the biggest opening night of CTC's history on Friday, according to managing and artistic director Marc Edson, Troy (played by Bryant Jarrard) and Gabriella (Emily Peitz, must battle both friends and high school stereotypes to be together.
They find common ground, when they try out for the school musical, but Ryan (Tyler Davis) and Sharpay (Grace Corley), who have always been the stars, have plans of their own to stop them.
The song-and-dance musical continues Thursdays to Saturdays through May 4, with 2 p.m. shows Sunday, as well as April 22 and 29.
